It has been 52 years since England won the World Cup and spirits are running high all throughout the country. Everyone is singing ‘It’s coming home’ at every available opportunity and I can’t deny that I have been caught up in the excitement that we are actually looking like we have an excellent chance of bringing home the trophy.
All we have to do tonight is go out there and smash our Semi-Final match against Croatia. The challenge posed by Croatia is likely to be one of the sternest tests the team has faced so far, given the high pedigree of players that the Eastern European side possess but, I and I’m sure the whole country are sure England shall be on top form to win.
England last reached a Semi-Final World Cup place in the World Cup Italia ’90, so either which way I’m sure the whole country is absolutely proud of what the boys have achieved this year. I know that I am hopeful in the fact that the boys will be victorious tonight as they have been playing well and I know I haven’t seen football played like this since I was a kid.
Gareth Southgate is most definitely the man of the hour looking dapper in his navy suits and waistcoats, he really brings some class to the sidelines. While the boys are all looking fabulous in red, which brings me to the infographic below – It says that red is a dominant colour and can impair the other side, let’s hope that definitely works tonight and we end up victorious with a place in the World Cup Final!
So lets all sing along to Three Lions and cheer the boys on tonight, because Football could quite possibly be ‘coming home’.
Let me know what you think about what colours sports persons wear and how it helps with wins/losses.
