L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Stick in 140 and 210
I have spoken of my love of L’Oreal Infaillible Foundation before, so I had really high hopes when I saw they had launched the L’Oreal Infallible Foundation Sticks. The original has the best coverage, a great colour for my skin and ticks all the boxes in what I need in a foundation. One of the other things I really like about it is the price, it’s under a tenner and you don’t have to go all out to get a new one when you run out.
The foundation sticks are just that, foundation sticks. Normally I wouldn’t touch a stick foundation with a barge pole, I hate how hard a lot of them are, how they have no blendability and just get used up really quickly as you have to apply layer after layer to try and get the coverage you want.
With the Infaillible sticks this isn’t the case. It’s like they turned the liquid version into a creamy, stick formula. A few glides over the face gives you enough foundation to cover it entirely in a leaning towards full coverage formula. It blends in so seamlessly and looks like a second skin.
I bought two different colours (140 and 210) so I could use one as a contour and they work really well together, blending like a dream with no harsh lines at all.
One of the things I do find with this foundation is it can seem a little greasy when first applied, after powdering it down I have found none of that greasy feel comes back. It’s also really long wearing, doing 8 hours + a day.
The only thing that lets the sticks down is the shade range, they have a lot of pale complexion ones but leaning mainly pink. Then there is practically no darker shades, but here’s to hoping L’Oreal shall bring out some more in the future allowing everyone to be able to grab a bit of it’s greatness.
Has it swayed me completely from the original? No, but it does give it a good run for it’s money and saves so much time when using.
You can pick up the L’Oreal Infaillible Foundation Stick from any L’Oreal Stockist like Superdrug or Boots for £8.99.
