We all know there is a subscription box for everything at the moment. The LoveDrop box is one with a twist, it’s purely for adults that are in a relationship and want to carve out a bit of time with each other.
The story behind LoveDrop is that a husband and wife duo came up with the idea after they realised how important date nights are for those in relationships. They knew that investing in time alone together is absolutely crucial to a healthy marriage/relationship.
With the whole excitement about ‘dating’ now days and a abundance of people loving single life, people in relationships seem to be looked on as boring and stuck in a rut.
Me and my partner have always made time for each other, we have a dedicated date night every other weekend. This doesn’t mean we always go out but we make the time to make sure we communicate, sit down and eat together and just genuinely enjoy each others company.
The LoveDrop box is a bi-monthly subscription, meaning you will get a box every two months with a whole host of goodies for £45. The boxes are to help enhance your sex life, just spice things up or give you something new to try.
The box I received included the above pictured contents, which were…
- Clio Love Balls (£20)
- Hera Ring (£25)
- Mylk Choc & Pink Hymalayan Salt Bar (£2.79)
- ‘Reasons Why I Love You’ Tag Book (£9)
- LoveDrop Prompt Cards (£9.95)
- A range of samples including Condoms and Personal Lubricants
To me the contents were really good and something that could definitely be used by a couple, it’s nothing too scary and I like the fact it also has something quite sweet in there in the form of the Reasons Why I Love You Tag Book. I also like the prompt cards which give you different activities to do with each other, some can be a bit flirty while others are actually very sweet.
However, I do think that the price is a bit much. It’s a very expensive box for it’s contents, now I do understand that they have included higher ended toys for couples in the box and that they do have overheads as well. But, I personally think it’s very expensive for what it is, especially when it’s ‘basic’ style toys that are included and not much more.
Please don’t get me wrong, I do absolutely love the concept of the box. I love the idea of making time for each other and that it helps you explore your love life in a way you might have never thought of before. All of those things are great, the box itself is great but the price lets it down a bit.
I think possibly in the future as they are a new company at the moment they could offer different subscriptions. Say for instance a ‘Basics Box’ where its around the £20 mark, includes basic and cheaper toys, some samples and something couples could share. Then maybe a ‘Mid-range Box’ for around £30/35 where they include the same sort of things as the basics box and maybe a higher end toy. Then they could do the full ‘Date Night Experience’ which could include two higher ended toys, maybe a recipe card, candles, samples and everything else that they would normally include in their boxes.
