I am seriously happy that the warmer weather is approaching, I have been far too fed up with how cold it has been and now I can really look forward to being able to bask in the Spring sun. I am also far too excited for the fact I can start putting washing outside, if this makes me a saddo then I fully admit that I am one.
With the start of Spring it also means getting the lighter clothes out, gone are the thick knits, chunky coats, gloves and scarves. Instead I am looking forward to wearing t-shirts, light jackets and ballet flats.
As I am getting older I have realised I am looking for more classic looks when choosing my clothes, I like to add a nice necklace or bracelet on most days too, this is something I never used to do in my younger years. I love the whole smart casual look as I never know when impromptu drinks or meals out are going to happen and with the friends I have that is a regular occurrence.
I love the above outfit just simply because I feel comfiest when I have a pair of skinny jeans on, the plain white top just goes with everything and I am actually in love with the navy blue bomber. I also chose a navy bag as I think it’s nice to have something other than black but still something that can go with almost everything. My wardrobe is always about things that I can mix together and having key items that can be put with everything.
I lastly chose a lovely rose gold necklace and some beautiful fun and flirty shoes. I love adding something a bit different with my shoes as I think if like me you aren’t too bold with your clothing choices shoes can really say something about you. I am always rocking a bright shoe, something a bit different or an animal print on my feet.
Now, although there are many ladies who read this blog I didn’t forget about the men out there.
I love men in shirts, I think they look utterly gorgeous and when a man is well put together even on his casual days it just seems to make him ooze with confidence.
I adore the colour of this shirt and I think it is very Spring in my eyes, teamed with the blue chinos and trainers it just brings the whole outfit together. I didn’t include a jacket with this look as well all know men usually brave it when the sun is out but I am sure there are plenty of great Spring jackets out there for men to choose from, like the ones on the Aquascutum website or even on the high street.
What do you like to wear during the Spring? Do you have any go to looks?
