We all love our mums and sometimes we want to show them just how much we care, especially when it’s Mothers Day. I thought I would compile a little list of things to do to treat your mum this Mothers Day.
Spa Day – This is a great way to be able to spend some quality time with each other and also a great way to relax.
Out for Dinner – Take your mum out for dinner and pick up the bill, she will absolutely love it and feel like someone else is picking up the slack instead of her.
A Show/Concert – Last year I actually did this for my mum and she adored it. We went to see Leona Lewis who my mum absolutely loves. She said that this was such a treat and would love to do it again.
Flowers and Chocolate – I love getting flowers and chocolate on Mothers Day, it makes me feel special.
DVD Night and Dinner – For those of us who are a bit strapped for cash this is a great option. You can just chill out with your mum and make her a nice meal while sitting in front of her favourite DVD.
Jewellery – Buy your mum something sentimental that she can cherish forever like a beautiful necklace or bracelet.
Something to play her old music on – My mum owns tons and tons of vinyls, from the likes of Madonna and George Michael. She hasn’t listened to them in years because her record player broke, so I think a lovely treat would be a turntable like these ones from HMV.
Buy her favourite beauty products – My mum loves a bit of Liz Earle and I treated her a couple of years ago to the biggest gift set of goodies from them. She adored them and it wasn’t something she would normally treat herself to, so it was definitely nice to see her face light up when she got it.
To be honest I wouldn’t mind most of these for Mother’s Day myself but I think the most I’m going to get is a handmade card and a key ring…. Once the child is older her present giving abilities might be more on par with this!
