Lately with the help of TIGI Bed Head Foxy Curls range I have been embracing my natural hair. Gone are the days where I rely on my straighteners, instead I am rocking the corkscrews.
I have curls that would be classed as 3B – Hair that resembles a definite S shape, with good curl definition. It’s prone to damage, can take quite a lot of product and is definitely weather dependent. Finding products to help with curl pattern and keeping it from frizzing up is definitely hard.
Foxy Curls Contour Cream* when used correctly is an absolute curl dream, leaving you with defined curls that are frizz free and soft to the touch. The trick is to use on hair that is around 70% dry and really work it into your curls in a scrunching motion. If you use it on hair that’s any wetter than that you wont get the definition you want and hair any drier you end up with a sticky mess.
Foxy Curls Extreme Curl Mousse* is yet again another great product for curl lovers, as it leaves you with gorgeous defined curls that have a great shine to them. I scrunch this into wet hair to start getting good curl clumps, any curly girl knows that clumps of curls are great. I then let it air dry or diffuse, which does leave me with a serious crunchy head of curl… Fear not, scrunch out the crunch and you are left with bouncy, billowing curls full of body and movement.
On The Rebound* has always been a product I have used and I absolutely love it, with its fresh fruity scent and cream like consistency it is perfect for scrunching through wet hair to get a good curl pattern in place. Once hair is dried you have silky smooth, bouncy curls that are really manageable. I don’t think I could ever live without it in my life!
Foxy Curls Hi Def Curl Spray is a product I couldn’t get on well with. It left my hair a bit sticky and gave me no curl definition no matter how I tried to use it. The only way I could get it to work is by using it with On The Rebound, when used together it gave me much tighter curls but I did have to scrunch out the crunch because my hair was awfully stiff before I did.
Over all I really like the TIGI Foxy Curls Range (apart from the Hi Def Curl Spray) and I would highly recommend them to anyone with wavy/curly hair, especially if you are wanting definition as well as silky soft curls. All the products work really well individually as well as together, meaning you don’t need to buy all of them to get a great result.
