I am sat here feeling worse for wear due to the fact I have the most swollen throat, headache, achy body and sore eyes but I was getting bored of constantly laying down trying to make myself feel somewhat human that I decided I shall give you all a little sneak peek into my life over the last few days.
I think Friday has to be one of the best days of my life…. EVER!
I went to go and see Britney at the O2, I don’t think anyone has seen me as excited as I was in my whole entire life. Alex was in pure shock of the excitement and love I have for Britney so in true fan girl style I sang along to every single song, screamed so loud, brought overpriced merchandise and even shed a tear at the fact that I was watching my idol for only the 2nd time in my life.
I then headed over to the fammos house where drinking games and poker playing started…. Cue a slightly tipsy me!.
I went to my first ever Aussie Party since becoming an Angel.
Seriously had a fantastic night, I met up with Tanya (amazing girl, with a lovely blog who’s photos have been used below) and her best friend Liane (absolutely hilarious girl – we oggled the Aussie hunks all night). Then we headed down to Shaftsbury Avenue where the Aussieversary Party was happening.
We were greeted by the lovely Holly outside and then handed Champagne by half naked men once we were on the rooftop ;). I had a bit of a blog fan girl moment when I met my all time favourite blogger Sinead who I have to say is as lovely as I thought she would be and so hilarious! Also met the lovely Stephanie, Ling and Carla who all made the night amazing!.
Spent passed out sleeping the day away!.
Ah the day where all the scary people come out to play. Panga was so excited about dressing up and going out trick or treating, its quite nice because all the kids were out and houses were lit up with lanterns and ghostly decorations.
She decided she wanted to be a witch so out came the face paints to create this green and purple wicked witch! She is actually wearing my Halloween wig to add more drama because hers was and I quote ‘Too short and just not scary enough’.
I had not heard much on Fashionista until I went to TOWIB (The Only Way Is Blogging) where they were showcasing some of their new custom palettes and how to create certain looks using them. We all got to choose one of their palettes to take home with us and I chose this little beauty.
L-R Top – Bottom : Bella, Juicy Apricot, Butterscotch and Blushing
L-R : Bella, Juicy Apricot, Butterscotch and Blushing
Now at TOWIB these palettes were already made up with what was inside them and we just chose the one we liked the look of the best with this one catching my eye as I love blushers and I think a girl can never have too many highlighters.
Obviously though its a custom palette meaning you can custom it to have whatever you want to have in it, they have tons and tons of different eyeshadows and blushers, including the double take baked eyeshadows which are limited edition and believe me from seeing them are absolutely gorgeous and something I am going to snap up tomorrow!. The custom palettes themselves come in red or black and have a huge mirror on the inside which is perfect if you’re like me and love to drag your make up along in your bag for touch ups on the go.
Bella is actually one of the Double Take Baked Eyeshadows so has a dual purpose because it really is an amazing highlighter with a gorgeous gold sheen, its not at all sparkly or anything just glowy! I love all the blushers too but Juicy Apricot and Butterscotch have to be my favourites out of the three.
The pigmentation of these I can’t fault either, you literally just have to take a quick swipe and you have more than enough to do what you need to do.
Overall I really really like these and can just vision how bad my bank balance is going to be after I buy myself some more (at the time I write this I want another 4 full palettes!).
You can get the palettes, all the singles and the rest of Fashionistas range from Superdrug. The Palettes are £5 each and the singles £4 but at the moment I know they are on offer for 3 for the price of 2, its sometimes better to get off the Superdrug Website though as they aren’t stocked in every one.
I love this time of year when it gets colder and you just want to cosy up inside but what better way to get your cosy night off to a start other than getting in a gorgeous hot bath, this is always when I turn to Lush and one of their many ballistics, bath melts or bubble bars.
Loads of BUBBLES!! And pink water 🙂
After 6 baths
Followed with a bit of Snow Fairy £3.25 for 100g
When I first saw the Magic Wand I thought OMG! I love this, it reminded me of when I was a child and would play dress up with my magical fairy wings.
I was a bit sceptical about this bubble bar on a stick that claimed to keep on giving but it really does keep on giving!. What you do is run the bath and give this a good old swish around the water creating a pink trail from where you have waved your wand…. Then this is where the magic happens and tons of frothy white bubbles are created.
This smells exactly like Snow Fairy, now I’m sure all you Lush addicts are aware of this sweet candyfloss smelling shower gel that gets us in a tizz at Christmas so what better to pair this little Magic Wand with other than Snow Fairy itself.
The bubbles are so soft as is the water and they leave your skin feeling beautifully soft and the smell lingering on your skin for ages.
I wonder how many more baths I can get out of my magical wand?.
Hello you gorgeous bunch!
I don’t know about you guys but I love a good face mask, when I was younger I remember going into Superdrug to buy their Mud Mask and Raspberry Exfoliating Mask then sitting at my friend Rachael’s house watching movies while letting them dry then trying not to laugh to crack them off.
It seems that these face masks are no longer the same as they were back then or my childish ways and skin were the only things that seemed to agree with them, I now want something more luxurious and that works which is where Liz Earle jumps in.
I really can’t fault Liz Earle on any of their skincare that I have tried, they seem to have something to suit everyone and this mask is yet again another brilliant product from them.
As with all their products its natural skincare which to me just makes it feel even more luxurious and like it is doing good to your skin. It has naturally active ingredients which include Green Clay, Manuka Honey, Propolis and Rose Scented Geranium which makes for a really nice smelling mask.
As you can see its quite a thick mask and it applies really well to the face, they say leave it on for about 10 minutes but I normally leave it on for around 15-20 as I like to know a product has worked when using it. It doesn’t seem to dry into a crispy cracking off your face mask like my old Superdrug ones used to instead its just a little tight feeling.
After using it I can really tell the difference in my skin and it seems to look instantly clearer, brighter and cleaner! It is also amazingly soft. My skin is quite dry on my cheeks and I have an oily T-Zone but this just seems to balance everything out instead of making my dry patches feeling drier which I really like. It also comes with 2 natural sponges (Not pictured) to help take it off and also have some sort of exfoliating properties which helps with the glowing revitalised skin I’m seeing after using it.
You can buy the starter kit (75ml tube and 2 sponges) for £13.25 on the Liz Earle website.
I think if you spend a lot of money buying cheaper alternatives that you never really use you might as well try this out as it will be a money saving in the long run if you love it as much as I do.
Have you tried this? Are you going to?
Now everyone and their wife seems to be going on about BB creams and how amazing they are so I’m sure like many others I was happy when Garnier decided to hit the market with theirs.
I brought this in Boots when it was on offer for about £8.00 thinking lets see what all this kafluff is about with these BB creams as I had wanted to try one for ages but just never got around to it.
On inspecting the colours I realised that I would have to go for the Light option which for me is actually quite odd because I am not Light in anything but the Medium was far too dark for my liking and when swatched you could really see the difference.
When you first squeeze this out of the tube it is very thick in consistency but as soon as you start rubbing it in it seems to become thinner in a light moisturiser sort of way and absorbs really easily into the skin.
I do have a problem with the smell though as it reminds me of some sort of tea which I am not a fan of but once you are wearing it the smell does wear off after a little while.
Now this is where it comes to if I like it or not and to be honest I still really haven’t decided if I do, I like the feel of it and the concept of a BB cream but I feel like for me this is just a good tinted moisturiser. It just seems to sink into the skin leaving a tiny hint of colour and glow with a smoother appearance but there is no improvement in my skintone just the same blotchy redness that was always there and it didn’t seem to blur any imperfections like it claims.
I have started using it as a base for my foundation though as it does give the smoother surface of a primer plus with the added sort of glow it really does show through making you appear to have healthier skin.
I say if you really want to try it try and get a sample before you actually buy to see how you feel about it, luckily for me it has found a different purpose but for those of you expecting it to be a miracle its probably not going to be.
Have you tried this? Like it? Found a different outcome to me?
Let me know
