We live about a 10 minute bus journey away from Ripley’s so travelling there wasn’t too bad, we arrived and the queues were quite long to get in but this was to be expected due to the fact it was half term. Once we were inside I was quite surprised to see that it wasn’t as packed as I would have expected it to be.
We started off on the top floor to work our way down, we saw loads of amazing things from dinosaurs, three headed goats, matchstick statues of Tower Bridge and other London attractions as well as many other amazing things. Once we had done a couple of floors we came to the mirror maze which Tapanga found so exciting while trying to find our way around, we had so many laughing fits especially when we ended up in a complete dead end.
We had a really great day but I have to say there was a couple of downsides to the day, well attraction. Firstly I didn’t feel like there was much to the attraction, it was smaller than it was made out to be and I think it would have been much better if some of the ‘main attractions’ were a little bigger or a little more exciting, I also think that the laser race at the end could have been easier to find because if we hadn’t of asked anyone where it actually was we would have never of found it.
Over all for a free day out as I already had the tickets it was a nice time passer and Tapanga did have fun but I don’t think it’s worth it for the price it actually costs (Adults £26.95, Children £19.95 and Family of 4 £79.95) If you can get a discount or a buy one get one free offer then it is worth going for the experience but I would never suggest anyone pays full price.
Have you been to Ripley’s? How did you find it?
