So since I posted my blog post on the beauty benefits of stopping smoking I realised that over the course of time I had been smoking and the amount I was smoking it has cost me over £11,000. Now when I see this figure like that I can’t help but think that I could of bought a lot of nice things with that money, granted it was over a very long period of time but its basically £1000 a year so I thought I would compile a little list of things that I could have with a spare thousand pounds every year.
1. Take an extra holiday a year
2. Put it into savings
3. Buy a designer handbag
4. Go on a massive shopping spree
5. Redecorate my house
6. Buy a flight to see my sister in Australia
7. Learn how to drive and put the rest towards a car
8. Take Tapanga to Disney Land
Now there are so many other things that I could do with it but these are things that I really want to do as soon as possible, obviously I still pay out money for my electronic cigarette that I am still using when I feel the need to but in comparison I am not spending a fraction of what I did. It just goes to show that if you do smoke you really do rack up the pounds without even noticing it, I mean I was always complaining of having no money but could easily fork out nearly £8 a pop for a box of cigarettes when now I shall pay on average around £8 a month on refills for my e-cig just to keep me going as I don’t even feel the need to smoke that much.
If you had an extra £1000 a year what would you do with it?
