Nivea MicellAIR

April 6, 2018 · 10 Comments

Sometimes skincare can be an absolute chore, I know that although I love giving my skin a good pamper, quick and simple is where it’s at. The Nivea MicellAIR range helps you do just that, keep things quick, simple and with great results.

The Nivea MicellAIR Micellar Water is absolutely fantastic and leaves absolutely no residue on the skin. It feels like you have just essentially wiped water over your face but gets rid of more than what water could. It is a 3-in-1 make up remover that effectively removes make up, gently yet deeply cleanses skin and soothes and hydrates without leaving residue on your skin.

I think that it does just that, it leaves my skin feeling super clean and fresh.

Now, the star out of these two for me is the Nivea MicellAIR Oil-Free Micellar Gel. I honestly don’t know how I have ever lived without it. It’s gel type formula feels instantly soothing as it hits the skin and it gets rid of all traces of eye and lip make up in a simple swipe.

I am not just talking minimal eye and lip make up here either. I am talking full on waterproof mascara, full eye shadow, liquid liner and a full bright lip. It effortlessly removes them without rubbing and feeling like you have sore eyes. You skin is left feeling super hydrated, well cared for and clean.

Nivea is the official backstage care partner of ITV’s The Voice UK, which has its finale tomorrow night…. Eeeee! I can certainly see why the backstage make-up artists use it because of how caring and gentle it is on the skin.

I would highly recommend both the MicellAIR Micellar Water and Oil-Free Micellar Gel being added into your skincare routine. They are really affordable too priced at £3.99 and £3.59 respectively.

Image Skincare Face Masks

Image Face Masks

As I’m getting older I have been taking better care of my skin. That means having a good daily skincare regime and treating myself to a really good face mask at least once a week like the Image Skincare Face Masks.

I adore sheet masks, I think they are so much better than your usual mask that you get due to the fact there’s no mess and you can chuck them away straight after use.

The Image Skincare Face Masks are absolutely amazing and leave your skin so hydrated, I have tried out two different types and I have to say I can’t choose which one is my favourite as they are both as good as each other.

Image Skincare Biomolecular Hydrating Recovery Mask * – £9

This mask is a unique one use only hydrogel mask, infusing the skin with volcanic water, ginseng root extract, amino acids and antioxidants. This gives the skin an ultimate skin rejuvenation and increases hydration.

The mask claims to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, brightening and rejuvenating the skin. It also claims to lift, brighten and hydrate the skin after one application.

I really liked using this mask, its gel like formula was something that really satisfied me. It was covered in product which once on contact with the skin was really cooling and hydrating. You could feel it working straight away as my skin already felt like it was soaking in the moisture.

The after results were amazing, my skin was so refreshed and hydrated. I felt like it looked so much more plumped and some fine lines that I have around my eyes did seem to be decreased, definitely something I loved.

Image Skincare Biomolecular Anti-Ageing Radiance Mask * – £9

Like the Hydrating Recovery Mask this mask is also a unique one use only hydrogel mask, infusing the skin with volcanic water. Although this one actually infuses it with some other choice ingredients like brightening botanicals, peptides and antioxidants.

The mask claims it shall give you an ultimate youthful appearance, increasing radiance and hydration. This should reduce any fine lines and wrinkles, rejuvenate and brighten the skin.

As with the other mask I really enjoyed using this mask, with its results being much the same. The only difference with this mask is I noticed my skin looked more plump which in turn really did make it look more youthful.

I have loved both of these masks so much, I have actually purchased them myself a few times after I received them for review.

You can visit the Image Skincare Website to see their vast range of products, including the masks above.

BeautyPro Collagen Face and Eye Masks

January 14, 2017 · 7 Comments

beauty-pro-masks

Lately I have been hitting it hard, what with the festive season just gone and meet ups with various friends. All of this has made my skin look like an absolute state, I look grey and really washed out. There’s also the fact that I am at that age now where I’m starting to show signs of ageing, once you mix all of this together you end up needing some serious TLC (I now have No Scrubs stuck in my head!).

I thought I would give these Beauty Pro Masks* that I have had sitting in my stash for a little while out. The first one I tried on New Years Eve as I was up all night the night before and definitely looked worse for wear, the eye masks I used last week when I was feeling like I looked less than fresh and finally I used the other this week as a perk me up.

What I love about both of the masks are the fact that they are sheet masks. These have to possibly be my favourite type of mask due to the fact there really isn’t much mess and you can get on with doing what your doing without worry of ‘face crack’.

First up I used the BeautyPro Rejuvenating Collagen Mask, which claims to hydrate dry areas, diminish fine lines & wrinkles, boost skin firmness and improve skin clarity, tone and elasticity. I absolutely loved this mask, it was covered in a great amount of product and really sat on the skin well. After use my skin felt so hydrated, looked instantly brighter and plumper. It was a great pick me up in preparation for my New Year.

Next came the BeautyPro Eye Therapy Under Eye Mask, to minimise the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, under eye shadow and dryness while increasing elasticity and firmness for a youthful appearance. I actually really liked these and noticed my under eye area was so hydrated afterwards, it really plumped up and made me look like I had slept for hours. The best part being they are a three pack so I still have two left!.

Lastly was the BeautyPro Brightening Collagen mask, which claims to combat fine lines, wrinkles, sun-damage and dull skin while improving skin clarity, rebalance uneven skin tone and diminish pigmentation resulting in soft, supple skin with a youthful glow. Now, this one I wasn’t so fond of the results, all I noticed was my face feeling a lot more hydrated. Other than that I couldn’t say it did much else, although I would use it again for a serious rehydration for the skin.

Over all I think all the masks were great for different uses, they also have a brilliant price point of being under £3 each. All of the masks are free of Mineral Oils, Lanolin and Petroleum as well as being a Paraben free formula.

You can find the full range of masks on the BeautyPro Website and they are priced at £2.45 excluding vat.

DHC Rich Eye Zone Masks

November 8, 2016 · 24 Comments

DHC Eye Zone DHC Eye Zone Treatment Masks

When these masks first dropped through the door I have to admit I was a little scared of them. I didn’t really know what to expect because they were essentially a pair of product laden eye patches. Now, because they are designed like this they encircle the entire eye area to address a multitude of concerns, from eyelid puffiness and laughter lines to under eye bags and dark circles.

Each pair is formed of a left and a right side slathered in cream. The intensive formula contains olive fruit oil to add moisture, multipeptides to support collagen and hyaluronic acid to provide deep hydration and protect the skin’s natural moisture barrier. Having the masks slathered in cream rather than a serum keeps the mask experience as mess free as possible.

I applied the masks to my eye area and they instantly had a cooling effect. I left them on for the recommended time of 10 minutes and then massaged in any excess product into the eye area. After using I instantly noticed my eye area looked refreshed and plumper, while feeling completely moisturised. Fine lines that I have around my eyes were reduced significantly and were actually unnoticeable after using.

One of the things I absolutely loved about the DHC Rich Eye Zone Masks * is the fact that apart from looking like Cat Woman, the masks hydrate not only under the eye but also above the eye. Not many eye masks do that and I think this makes them stand out from the crowd.

You can buy 6 DHC Rich Eye Zone Masks on the DHC Website for £15 (they are on offer for £12.50 until the 31/12/16)
