A little while ago I treated myself to a few bits from Selfridges as I had a gift card. I had originally been lusting over the Gwen Stefani Blusher Palette and a couple of her lipsticks from Urban Decay but my gift card wasn’t working online and as there is no Urban Decay in the London branch of Selfridges I had to order online, because of this Selfridges had to reissue my gift card but there was a whole load of kerfuffle over it meaning I ended up waiting three weeks for a new one. Once my new gift card was with me the Gwen Palette was sold out everywhere and I decided to just treat myself to some different lipsticks rather than the Urban Decay ones I originally wanted.
I ended up purchasing the NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder (£8.00) which I had heard so much about as I was looking for a new setting powder and this one promised to give me a flawless finish along with leaving my skin looking radiant and luminous. To be honest the jury is still out on this one as I sometimes love how it looks and then at times I actually feel like it’s taking my make up off, a full review of it will be up soon enough once I’ve been using it a little longer as I’ve actually been trying it out with different base products to see whether it’s the products I’m using or the actual powder.
I then bought three beautiful lipsticks – Zoeva Cooling Passion (£9.50), Tom Ford Alejandro (£27.00) and Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect (£23.00) which are two beautiful reds and as the name suggests a perfect nude. I haven’t really been one for reds or nudes until recently but now that I have started wearing them I just can’t get enough… I’m going to do separate posts on all these lipsticks because they are all so beautiful in their own right so I really don’t want to go into how their textures are or anything right now.
Although the powder is a little sketchy on some days I do love everything I got and I am excited to share my reviews with you!
