Love The Sales Wishlist

MK Selma Medium Messenger Bag £110 | Mii Illuminating Face Base £21.95 | Miss KG Shelly Chain Boot £49.99

New Look Grey Cuffed Coat £22.50 | MK Continental Purse £91 | Kerastase Resistance Terapiste Duo £33.55

I’m quite lucky as this month I’m a little flush, so what a better way than to treat myself with some new things. I had a little search through Love The Sales because I’m all about getting a bargain and came across some great things. They are all things I really need, okay, well some are things I really need because I definitely don’t need a new handbag. I grabbed a gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff handbag last year in a Black Friday deal for near enough half price and it’s still as good as new.

I found the Michael Kors bag and purse in the Michael Kors sale with the bag being half price and the purse having a £39 discount which I think is fab. I already own a Michael Kors purse and its still going strong, the only problem with it is it’s white so it’s become a little discoloured over the years so I think it’s time I invested in a new one.

I am also so in love with Kurt Geiger shoes and Miss KG are no different, they don’t skimp on quality in their range and these boots are absolutely perfect for the colder weather. They were marked down to half price in the Kurt Geiger sale section, although there were so many boots that I fell in love with. I also knew that I needed a new coat and I had seen one I quite liked on another blog but I couldn’t remember where it was from or what blog it was. I thought I would just search through women’s coats and see if I could find something similar, I did and it was a beauty from New Look marked down to half price!. I actually love New Looks coats and have owned many of them before so I know that I shall be safe in the knowledge it will last me through all the cold weather we will be getting.

Lastly I spotted a beauty section and I cannot leave a site without checking out their beauty section, plus I knew I was in need of some new hair care as my hair has been looking and feeling a bit dead since I went back to brown. I then found the Kerastase shampoo and treatment at £12.45 off. I love Kerastase products and they really do wonders for my hair so this is going to be a definite purchase.

Finally I spotted the Mii Illuminating Face Base while still scouring the beauty section and I knew I had to have it. If you have read my previous review on the Mii Celestial Skin Shimmer then you will know that it is a brand that I really like and their products are absolutely fantastic. I have high hopes for this as I love a good product that can help you look glowy and lit from within, especially now that the weather is making my skin look a little drab.

One of the things I love so much about Love The Sales is that everything is there in one place, I didn’t have to go searching for on different websites and it gives me the cheapest prices meaning I get to save my pennies!.

New Launches From Make Up Gallery

September 22, 2016 · 21 Comments

If you guys remember I am an ambassador for Make Up Gallery the make up brand by Poundland. They are launching some great new products which I am sure you are all going to love, not only because of the price but also because they are beyond great!.
Make Up Gallery Define & Contour Make Up Gallery Contour Kit Swatch

Define and Contour

A new contouring kit with a cream product in one side; a blush or concealer and a bronzer in the other. The kit is absolutely fabulous and easy to use with the bronzer not being too muddy or orange. The only downside I have is the fact that the powder does get into the cream as they are so close together but it is only £1 so it doesn’t bother me too much.
Make Up Gallery Eyeshadow Stick Make Up Gallery Eyeshadow Swatch

Glide Away

A twist up eyeshadow stick that glides on easily with intense colour. The colour on these are absolutely fantastic as they have such great pigmentation with a lovely shimmer finish. They last for a good 6-8 hours without creasing on my eyelids when using a primer and are easily blendable. They have become my go-to eyeshadows of choice over the last few weeks.

Make Up Gallery Matt Lip Colour Make Up Gallery Matt Lip Colours Make Up Gallery Matt Lip Colour Nude Make Up Gallery Matt Lip Colour Pink Make Up Galley Matt Lip Colour Purple Make Up gallery Matt Lip Colour Red

Pout Matters

Matte lip colours in 4 different shades; Nude, Pink, Purple and Red. I have really enjoyed using these as they have glided on really smoothly and feel like velvet. They dry really quickly and dry to fully matte almost instantly.

The Nude shade is absolutely beautiful but it is prone to streaking from time to time so you really have to take time and effort with the application. The Pink seems to have a slight shimmer in it but I feel like due to that it wears a little weird on the lips, making them look like they are a little dry and bitty.

The Purple shade is beautiful and leans more pinky, it wears really well and applies really evenly. I think it’s possibly my favourite shade out of the 4. The Red is really beautiful as it is not too full on but is still a gorgeous shade that packs a punch and lasts a good amount of time on the lips.

I think all the new products are really good and are such amazing value, so if you’re looking for something new to try head on down to Poundland!

Skin Camouflage

August 11, 2016 · 22 Comments

Skin Camoflage

Gosh, it seems like forever since I have blogged! Well, I have had my birthday since then and I also had a mad moment of deciding to decorate everything, so I’ve ripped down the wallpaper and am attempting to redo it all… A hard task I can tell you that!.

Today I am bringing you a review of the Skin Camouflage kit*; a kit that contains everything you need to conceal away any skin concerns from scars to tattoos. The kit consists of 4 concealers, a setting powder, mixing pot, 3 brushes and powder puff. Everything you need to create a flawless base.

I have some hyperpigmentation on the side of my face, a scar that runs from my lip to just below my nose, three scars on my forehead and a scar that goes from the start of my nose, through my eyebrow and onto my forehead. All of these I am pretty self-conscious of and I won’t even be seen going to the shop without make up on.

The Skin Camouflage Kit

The kit itself was really easy to use and mix up to make a shade that matched my skin. One of the things I loved is the fact the mixing pot was quite large so your mixture lasted you quite a while. It covered really well and flawlessly, it didn’t at all feel cakey or like my skin couldn’t breathe at any time. The setting powder was lovely and gave a lovely look to the skin as I can find that the concealers on their own can look a little ‘sheeny’ but this made the skin look almost skin like, plus helped them stay in place for hours.

One thing I hate is waste and obviously with a kit like this you don’t have use for all the colours. I decided I would have a play about with using the darker ones for a contour and making the lighter one a little lighter with the white for a brightening concealer. It worked a treat and I definitely felt like I got a lot more use out of the kit this way.

I did try to see how well it covered tattoos as it claims that it can, it covered them fairly well but I could still see traces of them underneath. I have read online though that colourful or dark ones may need a counter colour put on before adding the concealer over so this could be the case as to why I could still see mine as the ones I tried to cover were purple stars on my foot and a infinity sign of pink and purple butterflies with grey bubbles and Tapanga’s name on the inside of my arm.

Over all I think it’s a great kit, especially if you have skin concerns on your face.

Skin Camouflage is available from Ideal World.

NARS Sheer Glow – Deauville

July 29, 2016 · 9 Comments

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation NARS Deauville NARS Sheer Glow Deauville

Can you believe the whole time I have been a beauty lover I had yet to try NARS Sheer Glow*. I was shocked at myself, especially as I am such a huge NARS fan. I’m not sure why I hadn’t, possibly the fact the name ‘Sheer Glow’ had put me off, I mean I’m all for a lovely glow but I am not about sheer coverage. Alas, I discovered that Sheer Glow was not a sheer coverage foundation, but more of a medium one and I was sold.

The Foundation

NARS Sheer Glow has a really silky texture, with a satin matte natural looking finish. Despite the name it doesn’t leave you looking overly glowy but instead leaves a lovely luminous look to the skin. It has a good medium coverage, which can easily be built up to full without looking cakey.

One layer of foundation was all it took to take away all my minor concerns, another layer covered completely everything. I also have to say a little goes a long way, so the bottle should last a really long time. A down side is there is no pump, so you would have to purchase separately.

I have found my favourite way to apply it is with either a buffing brush or an oval face brush. Both of them give a flawless application. I have found wear time to be great but it does start going patchy on my forehead and chin after around 6-8 hours, sometimes sooner if it has been warmer.

I can really see me getting on with NARS Sheer Glow, simply for its ease of application and weightless feel.

NARS Sheer Glow comes in 20 different shades and is priced at £31 on the House of Fraser Website

Benefit ASOS Exclusive Contouring Kit

July 28, 2016 · 37 Comments

ASOS Benefit Contouring Kit ASOS Benefit Contouring Kit Swatches

ASOS are hitting up their beauty section with an Exclusive Contouring Kit* from Benefit. A kit that contains 5 items, saving a whopping 33% on RRP when bought together.

Whats in the contouring kit?

  • Hoola Bronzer (Full sized) – A perfectly matte, warm tan bronzing powder which is perfect for contouring – I adore Hoola just simply for the fact it’s matte and looks so natural. You can really build the colour as deep as you want without it ever going orange and it’s never chalky.
  • Dandelion Shy Beam Highlighter (Full Sized) – A soft-matte, nude pink, liquid highlighter – I can’t express how much I love this! I’m normally all about the shimmer on my highlighters but this gives me such a lit from within look that I can’t get enough of.
  • 2 Boi-ing Concealers (1.3g each) – 1/2 Light and Light/Medium – Industrial-strength Concealer – I’m a massive fan of Boi-ing and find it really helps to cover my imperfections, especially my bags under my eyes.
  • The POREfessional, PRO Balm (7.5ml) – Primer – Sadly I don’t get on with POREfessional at all. I do know others who absolutely love it and swear by it!.

Over all the kit is amazing and I would highly recommend it. One of the things I love the most is the fact Dandelion is a matte highlighter, it is truly beautiful.

If you want to pick up the Benefit ASOS Exclusive Contouring Kit you can for £43 on the ASOS website.
