Can you believe January is nearly over? I don’t know about you guys but I feel like this year has started with a major fast start and it may be one of those years that go within a blink of an eye.
Anyway, this month I have been playing with lots of new products, lots of firm favourites and discovering a few things I am majorly in love with. I thought I would do a little top picks once a month to show what I’m really loving each month and to keep me trying new things along the way.
First up we have my new favourite moisturiser the Origins Ginzing Energy Boosting Gel Moisturiser (£29) – This moisturiser is absolutely amazing! I knew I was going to love it from the first moment I tried it and my love just keeps on growing. It super hydrating, plumps my skin and has the most refreshing scent. It really does give you a nice big energy boost and leaves you feeling ready for the day.
Rimmel Insta Fix & Matte Powder (£4.99) is my absolute favourite powder going. I converted about a year ago when the range first came out and it has been in my every day routine since then. Its a perfect smoothing powder that leaves you matte but without masking anything. I love the way it seems to blur out any imperfections giving that perfect Instagram filter effect.
Next, the Blank Canvas Master Series Palette One (£30) is still going strong after all this time. I swear it is a palette that just keeps on giving. I’ve had it around a year and a half now, haven’t hit pan on any of the shades and I use this palette a lot. It’s perfect for creating a natural daytime eye as well as being able to smoke it up a little for the night.
Face Soap and Clarity by Soap and Glory (£8) is my ultimate favourite facial cleanser. I have used it for years and I wouldn’t be without it. It leaves your skin feeling clean, smooth and refreshed. It comes in a huge bottle and lasts forever.
My Naked Flushed Palette in Streak (£25) is getting a lot of love this month as I’ve taken a more simple and easy approach this year when it comes to make up. I’m trying to use less products but still get the same overall look I was getting before. Palettes like this one are great as they’ve got 3 products in one and definitely saves me on having to find or choose my favourite highlighter or blusher as it’s all already there.
The Nivea Invisible Black & White Deodorant (£1.62) is one of my go-to’s. I absolutely adore the scent and love the fact it doesn’t leave horrible white marks on your clothes. I also adore the pattern on this one as its the limited edition Matthew Williamson design. It brings a nice touch to a boring old can and also gives a really pretty look on my side.
From the moment L’Oreal launched the True Match Foundation (£9.99) I have been hooked. It has blown all my more expensive foundation brands out the window and it is my perfect go-to daily foundation. It has a colour match that is so perfect to me, glides on like a second skin and the coverage is so brilliant. It barely looks like I am wearing anything and it lasts all day long.
Lastly my favourite perfume of all time Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs (£24.99) had to be on here as I couldn’t go a day without it. I love its fresh, floral and girly scent.
So, there you have January’s top picks. What have you been using this month?
