Make Up Gallery is the award winning make up offering from Poundland. Yep, you heard that right, Poundland! I wouldn’t have believed it myself that these cost just £1 each if you had given me the products to try without knowing as when you try them they just scream quality. The packaging isn’t the greatest but yet again it’s not awful or tacky, it’s just basic and tells you exactly what you need to know without screaming out cheap. Definitely not something you would be embarrassed pulling out in front of people or having in your make up bag.
Plump Up The Volume Mascara and the Pro Liquid Eyeliner were both products that shocked me with how great they actually are, both being very true black as I know with many cheaper make up brands you get more of a dark grey with their black products, especially their liners.
Plump Up The Volume Mascara has a bristle brush, not one I’m fond of but for this mascara it seems to work. You can build it up to create full fluttering lashes or just whip on one coat like I have done above for great daily oomph! The formula isn’t at all wet so you don’t get the double eyelash effect when you open your eyes, it lasts through really long days without flaking and it won’t even run when you are getting all emotional at an Ed Sheeran concert.
The Pro Liquid Eyeliner is a great little liner that has a brush that is so precise you can create a multitude of flicks, add that to the fact it dries in next to no time making it completely smudge-proof and foolproof – You’ve got yourself a winner!
All About That Pout Lipstick in Deep Red is the only lipstick I have tried in the range and I have to tell you at first I was a little scared because I don’t do reds, I always feel they are very unforgiving in their textures and I have never found one I have liked until trying the Make Up Gallery one. It has a luxurious silky yet creamy texture that made my lips feel really soft and hydrated, it was truly a pleasure to wear. The wear time on it is only about two to three hours of vibrant colour but after that it leaves a nice stain but for £1 I didn’t really expect it to even last that long, you can also reapply lipstick really easily so its no big deal.
Shine On Lipgloss in Nice & Nude is a great shade that I really like and although I hate lipgloss this one wasn’t offensive because it wasn’t sticky or gloopy like a lot of others I have tried, the only problem is I don’t like the feeling of any sort of gloss on my lips and I never really have done so I doubt I would get a lot of wear out of it. I have however given it to my daughter who thinks its the best thing since Frozen came out and now wants to spend loads of her pocket money on an array of lipglosses!
Over all I have nothing but good words to say about Make Up Gallery from Poundland, I just need to try some more of their items and from what I have heard I must try their nail varnishes as soon as possible!
Obviously you can pick up Make Up Gallery from Poundland, every highstreet seems to have one and if you don’t know where your local one is you can check on Poundlands Website.
