Monu is a brand that I haven’t really tried many products from so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I tried the Recovery Balm*, it had high claims that it would relieve irritation, reduce inflammation, and renew the skin all while hydrating thirsty skin and leaving it looking refreshed and perfectly soft.
Like I mentioned in my Clarins post, me and my skin have a really complicated love hate relationship which leaves me feeling a bit down especially on the days like today where I am having to deal with massive dry patches. The Monu Recovery Balm has literally become my saviour in cases like this.
The Monu Recovery Balm is not what you would expect from a ‘balm’ as it is not thick and balm like but instead quite light and creamy, its non greasy and glides over the skin like an absolute dream. The balm has an instant soothing effect when it hits the skin and takes away any tight dry patches instantly leaving the skin feeling smoothed, less irritated and definitely hydrated meaning it definitely lives up to its claims.
I have also noticed that although the balm is hydrating and ultra moisturising it actually leaves a matte texture to the skin which I love as I hate to look overly dewy. It also really helps at reducing redness which is a bonus because sometimes I can suffer with highly red cheeks when I have an episode of dryness occur.
On a side note I have recently had the worst dry lips that even my #LipGlam wasn’t fixing and I shoved a little bit of the Monu Rescue Balm over them and they were instantly fixed, I have also used it on some severe dry skin that I had on my hands and yet again that was instantly sorted so it is really a multi-use product although it is intended for the face.
Have you tried Monu products? Do you think this would be something you would like?
